I work to help you achieve the results you want and I’ve found using EMDR-based Intensives is the best choice for making rapid and long-lasting progress in therapy and particularly in challenging a compulsive behaviour.

It’s a highly effective, research-supported therapeutic approach and is clinically proven and more efficient than conventional hour-per-week therapy. You can expect to experience fast, substantial relief and improved overall long term benefits.

WHY WORK WITH ME, INTENSIVELY?

The way I work is unique and combines three vital elements:

  • The primary use of trauma/attachment informed Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) to reprocess the unhelpful elements that are keeping your compulsions in place, so that you are able to disengage from the behaviour in a quick and permanent way.

  • Working Intensively to make the most of the therapeutic momentum and to reduce distress - getting you to where you want to be gently and efficiently so that you feel that you’re making solid progress.

  • Working with a practitioner who has specialist knowledge and training to work with compulsive behaviours so that you no longer need to fear being misunderstood, judged or invalidated and can instead confidently follow a treatment plan designed with your specific needs in mind.

During a free consultation, I’ll guide you through the different ways I work and support you in deciding what would be best for you.

  • Not many therapists are EMDR trained, and even fewer follow an intensive approach. You’ll be working in the most advanced way possible and that confidence will help the process.

  • You will be working at the cutting edge of current research with a practitioner who specialises in working with those affected by compulsive body focused behaviours so you never have to feel alone or misunderstood in therapy again.
